After 3+ years in RC and abit less than 2 years in 1/10 scale, I finally got my own lathe...
I know people who have been in RC for less than 6 months and they got everything or more of what I owned...
This lathe, is from Eagle Racing...Quality wise its not as good as Hudy ones, but as long as it cuts its good...Got it for $80, what more can I ask? Haha...
Hudy lathes use a better lathe bit than the one I have now, hence it produces a slightly smoother finish...Oh well, I can always change the lathe bit, just that its expensive to get a diamond bit...
Had some problems when I lathed the first comm...The lathe bit stand was kinda shaky...I thought it was normal for such quality, but I was so wrong...There were afew grub screws where I can tighten the freeplay and etc...Wheee...Now its not shaky!!
At 4V input to the lathe, it draws around 2.4A...
Hmm...Probably I can start charging people for trueing their commutators...Haha...
The standard rate of $1 or 1 can drink would be nice...
