Been sometime since I last updated this blog...Its nearing the exam and time to stop playing much...

Been thru afew competitions these few weeks...Some good, some bad, but its all the experience that helps...Something is wrong with the electronics on the 416 though, has some kind of glitches that I didn't think will affect alot...But it has cost me today haha...

Learnt something about weight balancing on Saturday from Kerk...Its interesting to know how these stuff affect the overall car handling characteristics even though every droop, ride height, camber, roll center, etc has been done...

Currently my left ratio is 92% while the right is 91.9%...This ratio is the weight of the front wheel divide by the rear wheel on each side...The cross weight is around 50.5% and 49.5%...Which means my car is quite balanced without any diagonal pivoting...
Took me an hour or so to sort out how to do the balancing nicely...

Overall, I'm quite happy with the hardware performance these few days, but not really satisfied with the electronic components...I suspect its my capacitor on the ESC is spoiled...Maybe I should swap my receiver with another one or swap the esc to a brushed one...

Its valentine day...But just no mood the whole day...

4. Lost to charles, ok la...Lost to jevan, cos wasn't paying attention during launch and launched late...Then anyhow play le...
5. Sloped ground again...Sick of it...
6. Rushed report last night and today morning...Sian sian sian...

Oh well, got 3rd overall not bad...Maybe will work harder on the Mar 14 one if I'm free...

Recent - 8 Feb 09

Changed the itasha design plan for the RB3 cos there will be some technical difficulties with the previous...The sticker wouldn't last as long and my pictures won't be clear due to the original picture's size...Well, I've changed it and it looks pretty ok now...Just worried about the hair of the anime character cos its abit thin...Also I might change the yellow words on the car to chrome if possible...

Joined the Yishun drift competition...Didn't like playing at night due to low lighting and my inability to see well and gauge distance well in the dark...Nevertheless, I got 2nd...Maybe a fluke ahah...Kelvin is first and Billy third...I lost to Kelvin due to a stupid mistake on my part...Scraped the rear...I had fun playing with Morris...He has improved quite alot since the time I last went to Dover DM...

Didn't really set much of the car for the compy...Just increased ride height and hardened my front springs...Well not too bad, but I think the rear is abit inconsistent, so I probably will swap out the rear diff and put a spool...That would have to wait till the upcoming HPI open drift is over, just plain lazy to change settings...A 70% set drift car would be satisfactory for local compy/practice...

Went to Temasek Poly to try out their RC track...Its pretty ok except for the sloped surface and narrow straight...If not for the concrete divider for the pit lane, I think its a good track...

Worse thing to happen...I lost my Xenon camber gauge at TP...I lent to someone to set his car and I dun remember it coming back...Best is I forgot who...

Happy Chinese New Year to all!!!

- Changed shock angles on my 416 and there's slightly more grip...At least I can keep up with others without struggling...But the car felt abit sluggish due to the extra grip...
- Played touring on Saturday, felt pretty nice since I haven't touched touring after the Jamboree event...

Dunno whether its cheaper to put decal on a 1/1 car or airbrush it...Haha...

School has started!! Monday super sian...Continuous lessons...Other days pretty ok...

Just finalised my bidding for school modules...Bidding round ends on Monday...

The whole Jamboree event was a failure...Too few people, too big of a space with few exhibitors...Was expecting 40% of the grand stand to be filled up when we demo...But there were less than 40 people on a grandstand for 300/400 people...Somemore the crapshit organiser switched off the lights and how are the people gonna see us demo? Crappu sheeeeetttt...

Carrerista Jamboree Pt 2

28th Dec, Sunday...

Went there to participate in the 23T open race...But there wasn't any due to lack of participants...So the whole event became a practice event and a demo...Some of us even played catching 1/10 RC style...

Managed to get my car steady...Thanks to Nic for driving around in his Cyclone 12, spreading the traction compound on the racing lines...Lolz!!

Didn't manage to squeeze all my stuff into one bag...But at least its lighter le...

Had fun with the drift demo...Shawn and Botak setup a couple of obstacles and we tried to drift through them...Thats to attract the crowd...I felt abit of pressure when I was doing the solo drift demo...Didn't think I could perform all that just now without using a BL motor...

Left the area around 730pm to send Dave for his student exchange programme at the airport...
Now, back at home...11pm...Haha...
